The Ministry of Justice has repealed the current operation in which every refugee applicant has working permission 6 months after applying.
In the new operation, the applicants are classified into 4 categories after a preliminary examination. The applicants who are assumed to be refugees will be provided working permission before 6 months. In future, it is estimated that this class will make up 1% of the total.
On the other hand, applicants who are students or technical interns and re-applicants will not be allowed to work, and not only that, but they will be taken into houses at the immigration bureau.
The new operation will start during November 2017.
