How should it be possible to sell alcohol drink as take away!

Since the serious influence of Covid-19, many of restaurants and cafes start to open take-away or delivery service. For food menu for those, you will have no problem to open the service, however alcohol drink, your need a special license for this.

The Tax office of Japan has been announced that as one of the measures of Covid-19, it is possible for all restaurant and café owner to obtain a temporary license of 6 months for take away alcohol drink. What is the condition and context of the license?

  1. Choose a sales manager for alcohol drink

Each shop needs to chose own sales manager. Usually it is necessary to follow a short course about    in advance, however for this time it is possible to skip it after you promise to do it later on the agreement form.

  1. The deadline :   30. June, 2002

3. The term of validation :     6 months (If you submit on 30th of June, the license will be valid until the end of this year

 

The condition

 

(1) Report about the sales record

You need to report your sales record and the amount of alcohol drink you sold

(2) The dealer
You are allowed to do deal business with only dealers whom you already have with.

(3) The condition of Take -Away.

As Rake-Away menus, you are allowed to sell alcohol drink always with some food as a set. Not possible to sell only alcohol drink. But there is no restriction for selling food.

(4) Follow requests of municipalities

If any requests are demanded by the municipalities, you need to follow them

How and where to can I apply?

It is possible to do via post. You need to apply to the tax office of the jurisdiction where your shop is located. Please take a notice that not all tax bureau got the adviser for issues of sales alcohol drink. Again, you need to submit documents to the tax office of the jurisdiction where your shop is located.
